Our Christian faith is at the core of all that we do and teach at Red Apple School. Here are a few ways we incorporate this faith into the school week.
Each morning the staff meets together at 8:40 for a brief time of devotion. This is a very important time for the staff to share joys and concerns with each other and to begin our day joined together in prayer. We often pray for the needs of our school-families as well.
On Mondays and Tuesdays, each teacher sets aside a time during their day to share God’s word with their students. This time might include Bible stories, music and prayer. Some classes also memorize simple scripture verses.
Each student attends a chapel service once a week (Wednesday and Thursday; 9:15a). Each chapel is a worship service designed for young children and centered on Bible stories told through object lessons and music. Throughout the year each student will have the opportunity to support worship as a candle lighter. By the end of the school year, each student will have received a special birthday blessing given to them during chapel. Each birthday blessing includes any of the student’s family that might be present. Anyone is welcome to attend chapel services.
