From the beginning, Red Apple School was established on the principles of academic excellence in a Christ-centered program that sees each student as a unique and special child of God. It is our belief and goal to honor each child’s uniqueness in the way that we differentiate our instruction. Not every child learns the same and we believe in multiple learning approaches. Red Apple knows that children learn best through HANDS-ON LEARNING that happens through problem solving, exploration and FUN!

Schedule
Red Apple Kindergarten is in session Monday through Friday from August to May. The school day starts each morning at 8:30 and the day ends at 2:30 p.m. Extended Care is available from 7:00 a.m. to 8:20 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Curriculum and Goals
Red Apple Kindergarten incorporates and exceeds the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills that are also followed by public school. With our small teacher to student ratio, we are able to differentiate our instruction to meet each child’s specific needs and goals. Not only are academics an important part of our program, but character, spiritual, physical, and emotional growth are fostered through the year as well.
It is imperative to our staff that we not only teach the academics, but that your child EXPERIENCE their learning through hands on activities that require them to think outside of the box and to problem solve independently and as a team.
Your child will receive both whole group and center-based instruction. Our learning centers allow our students to learn through small group or one-on-one instruction with a teacher. Our students are also allowed time to work in teams so that they may learn to collaborate and respect the ideas of others.
Chapel
This is our favorite time of the week. We have a whole school Chapel each week that incorporates praise and child friendly lessons from the scripture. Students have the opportunity every week to bring a canned good offering that will be donated to a local food shelter. We also celebrate each child’s birthday in chapel. If your child has a summer birthday, we will celebrate their half birthday.
Recess
Your child will participate in two recess times a day. We believe that the outdoors is its own separate classroom where children are meant to learn, explore, and PLAY!
